Our purpose

LifeWeShare® Estate Vault was created to help make estate planning and the responsibilities after a death easier to understand and manage. The book brings people, wishes, practical instructions and important records together, so a family has a clearer place to begin during a difficult season.

Planning is an act of care. A name, a contact, a document location or a simple explanation can spare someone hours of searching and uncertainty. This workbook invites you to prepare thoughtfully while there is time to ask questions, have conversations and make your wishes known.

More than a list of possessions

An estate also touches the daily lives of the people left behind: children who need familiar routines, a spouse facing unfamiliar responsibilities, parents who need care, and a business with staff and customers depending on it. Those human details belong beside the financial and legal records.

Use these pages a little at a time. Write what you know, mark what needs attention, and return when circumstances change. Speak with your family and trusted advisers. The goal is to leave useful guidance, preserve meaningful memories and give the next person a clearer path forward.

Dedication

Dedicated with love to my husband, R.R. Welsh, and my children, N.R. Welsh, E.A. Welsh and B.S. Welsh, and to the future generations of our family.

May these pages be a gift of care, wisdom and preparation. May you inherit more than possessions: faith that steadies you, love that connects you, and the courage to care for one another. Carry forward what is good, tell our stories, and build a legacy of kindness for those who come after you.

A message to my husband

To my husband, R.R. Welsh: thank you for sharing this life with me. My prayer is that these pages will offer guidance when decisions feel difficult and help ease the practical burdens you may face. Take one step at a time, ask for help when you need it, and make room for rest and the people who love you.

Care for our children, but remember that you also deserve care. May you find comfort in God, strength for each day and room for joy as life continues. My love for you is part of the story we have built together, and I hope the memories we share will bring warmth and peace.

A message to my children

To N.R. Welsh, E.A. Welsh and B.S. Welsh: you are deeply loved. These pages are one way I can help you find the people, wishes and memories that matter to our family. You do not have to carry adult responsibilities alone, understand everything at once or hide how you feel.

Be kind to one another, stay close to those who care for you, and ask questions whenever you need to. Hold on to your faith, keep learning and make room for your own hopes and dreams. May God guide your steps, and may our stories, traditions and love remain a source of comfort as you grow.

With gratitude to God

I thank God for the gift of life, for my husband and children, and for the love that makes a family a place of belonging. I am grateful for His mercy, guidance and strength, and for the people He places in our lives to offer wisdom and support.

May this work honour Him through thoughtful stewardship, honest conversations and compassion for those who will one day need these pages. May we use the time we have to love well, prepare wisely and serve one another.

Thank you to those who will help

To the executor or executors, executrix or executrices, and every person who will come alongside my family to help: thank you for accepting these responsibilities with care, patience and integrity. To the professionals, personnel, caregivers, church community, relatives, friends and support people who will offer their time, knowledge and kindness, I am deeply grateful.

Whether you are carrying out my wishes, organizing documents, handling practical arrangements, offering a meal, making a call, praying or simply being present, your help can ease the burden on those I love. Thank you for working together to make this process as orderly, thoughtful and compassionate as possible, and for treating my family and one another with dignity. Please give yourselves grace as you do this work; you are not expected to carry it alone or do everything perfectly. May God grant you wisdom, strength and peace for each step.

A message to you: you have got this

If the work ahead feels overwhelming, begin with one small step. Find one document. Write one name. Ask one question. You do not have to understand everything today, and asking for help is a wise step forward.

Let God be your guide. Make room for prayer, wise counsel and rest. If you are grieving, you do not have to rush your feelings or prove your strength. Receiving care and taking a pause can be part of the journey.

My wish for you is peace in the midst of uncertainty, patience with yourself, and loving people beside you. May you find the courage for today and hope for the days ahead. You have got this, one faithful step at a time.

Words of wisdom

  • Prepare with love, rather than waiting for a crisis to start the conversation.
  • Write down what others would otherwise have to guess.
  • Let the right people know where the right documents are held.
  • Ask for wise counsel when a decision carries legal, financial or personal consequences.
  • Speak kindly and listen carefully; people may understand the same loss differently.
  • Preserve stories, recipes, values and memories alongside the practical records.
  • Review your plan as life changes. A useful plan grows with your family.
  • Leave room for grace. Progress can begin with one small, honest action.

A prayer for the journey

Heavenly Father, guide us as we prepare for the people we love. Give us wisdom for our decisions, courage for difficult conversations, and patience for each step. Comfort those who are grieving, bring helpful people alongside them, and help our families care for one another. May the legacy we leave be rooted in faith, love and kindness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Biblical encouragement

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:6 (KJV)

Bring your decisions to God in prayer. Take the next practical step with humility and seek wise counsel along the way.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee”
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV, excerpt)

This passage speaks of God’s presence and help. Let it encourage you to seek comfort and support when the road feels uncertain.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12 (KJV)

Reflect on the time you have and the people entrusted to your care. Ask God for wisdom as you prepare and make decisions.

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4 (KJV)

Jesus speaks of comfort for those who mourn. Bring your grief honestly to God and allow others to offer care.

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
Psalm 34:18 (KJV)

This verse speaks of God’s nearness to the brokenhearted. You can pray honestly even when words are difficult to find.

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”
2 Corinthians 1:3 (KJV)

Paul describes God as the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. Let these words guide prayer for yourself and those who are grieving.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you”
John 14:27 (KJV, excerpt)

Jesus offers peace to His disciples. Reflect on His words as you face uncertainty and take each next step.

“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children”
Proverbs 13:22 (KJV, excerpt)

Consider the practical needs of future generations as you plan. Alongside material provision, this workbook gives you space to preserve family stories, values and guidance.
